Boaters Checklist!

Don't Forget to mark these items off your checklist before heading out on your boat!

Lots of folks enjoy the lakes and ocean for a plethora of different reasons, But you should take your fun with a side of caution!

- Before Launching your Boat always double check your drain plugs! It is possible even after checking them for something like the above picture to happen to you while out on the water so make darn sure your plugs are fully secured!

- Make sure you have enough life vests to accommodate the maximum amount of people your boat is rated for! Some Law Enforcement agencies will ticket you if you do not and you never know when you may need a life vest for another boater in distress!

- The State of Texas Requires all boaters have some type of signalling device at minimum a whistle on board at all times! Always check to make sure your horn works or that you have a U.S.C.G. approved whistle on board. 

- Make sure you have a throw able lifesaver at arms reach in case of an emergency! Most people also use these devices to sit on when they are not in use, never hurts to stay comfortable and be able to save a life at the same time.

- If your going to be out at night make certain all of your lights are in good working order before leaving home!

- People are going to have alcohol on boats if your one of those boats make sure to have a (DD) Designated driver! It is always easier to put your boat back in your slip or on your trailer sober! Most law enforcement agencies can and will give you a (BWI) Boating While Intoxicated or (BUI) Boating Under the Influence
